Highly recommended! We trusted AV Workshop with all of our parents’ 8mm home movies from 1955-72. 70+ reels, 12,000 feet of old, fragile, irreplaceable film. AV converted everything from film to .mp4 files on a hard drive. Great result, great to work with, competitive prices, on-time work; completely upfront about prices, methods, and equipment.

Recommended because:
1.If you are just starting, the AV website has straightforward info on what AV does and how they do it. It names the equipment and explains their pricing completely. Very helpful in comparison shopping and understanding what you get with a low-priced vs. high-priced job.
2.A pleasure to work with. Scott Sargent (the owner) was upfront, honest, and detail-oriented in setting up the job. His pricing was competitive, and he delivered on schedule. His staff was a pleasure to speak with.
3.Excellent result. We have watched several hours of the movies and seen only good-quality work.

We were so pleased that we went back with 2,000 slides from 1940-1986. I look forward to posting another review as soon we have seen them.

I inherited boxes of 8mm film from the early 1950’s and hundreds of slides. I took my ‘precious cargo’ to Scott at AV Workshop. He sorted through it and was able to transfer everything on to 2 DVDs. He was reliable and professional. I have been able to share all the old family films and photos with my relatives and it’s been wonderful.  We are all grateful for the expertise of AV Workshop in handling such old media material. The personal touch of AV Workshop meant a lot to me. Thank you for a job well-done! 🙂

I’ve taken a number of projects to Audio Video Workshop and always been completely satisfied with the results. Old VHS converted to DVD, old audio tapes converted to CD and edited home movies. Their price is good and I will use them again.

I took some 8mm. movies to be digitized. They werre made in 1937! Audio visual did a great job. The enhanced the images frame by frame, and really optimized them. The service is personal, and everyone I talked to was very knowledgeable.

They are very knowledgeable and the service was much quicker than I anticipated.

Scott is really nice and very helpful with any questions you might have.

I took about 100 old slides to A/V Workshop to have them transferred to digital files. They said it would take a couple of weeks to do the job. I asked if they would email digital versions of two of the slides to me within a couple of days, so that I could include them in collage for my Dad’s Memorial Service. They graciously accommodated my request. All of the digital files came out great and I received the full order ahead of the estimated date. Myka (?) helped me when I dropped everything off, and was awesome. As was the gentleman who helped me when I picked up my order. Great service, totally trust them with irreplaceable photos. Will go back again.

They were very quick. The order was ready in 2 days. Good quality transfer of the VHS tape to DVD.
